The No. 1 seeded Grand Meadow girls basketball team beat No. 16 Rushford-Peterson (6-22 overall) 63-26 in a Section 1A Tournament opener in GM Thursday.

Jordyn Glynn had 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for GM (24-1 overall) and Skylar Cotten added 18 points and eight steals.

GM will now play No. 8 Blooming Prairie in Mayo Civic Center at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
