The Austin boys hockey team lost to Faribault (12-9-1 overall, 6-7-1 Big Nine) 7-1 in Riverside Arena Thursday.
Garrett Schaefer scored to bring Austin (5-16-1 overall, 5-12-1 Big Nine) within 4-1 early in the third period.
Austin will close out its regular season when it hosts Dodge County at 11 a.m. Saturday.
