Nancy Elaine Haskin, 66

Nancy Elaine Haskin, 66, left this life and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019.

She was born on Sept. 10, 1952, in Austin, Minnesota.

Nancy had a lifelong career with the Austin Public School District. She worked in many various capacities and retired as an administrative assistant. She moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, in 2007. She loved the Lord and had a heart for service. She was on the First Impressions Team at Cavalry Baptist Church and greeted thousands of people with her beautiful smile. She had a way of making everyone feel welcomed.

She enjoyed gardening, bingo, bunco, Life Group, going out to eat with the neighbors, motorcycle riding and spending time with her family. She loved to color mandalas. She treasured spending time with her nephews and nieces and their children. She was a past member of the Havasu Art Guild.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mabel Stelter.

She is survived by her sister, Sherry Broecher; nieces, Gina Atchison (Ryan) and Jessie Freitag (Brad); great-nephew, Curtis Wilson (Chey); great-nieces, Nicole Wilson (Chad), Alexis Gordon (Zach) and Brianna Prenosil; great-great-nephew, Callen Wilson; great-great-nieces, Chloe Wilson, Mia Neitzel and Aria Walk; and her special lifelong best friend, Jeff Haskin (Terry).

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center’s Ruby Rupner Auditorium.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to cancer research.
