Marvel Katherine Hansen, 100, longtime resident of Minnetonka, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, in Eagan, Minnesota.

She was born on June 3, 1918, in Oakland, Minnesota, to Lyman and Ingeborg “Belle” (Veum) Ofstun.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thorolf; sisters, Merle Brodkast, Vivian Ofstun and Leona Ofstun; brother, Arthur (Lillian) Ofstun; and infant twin brothers, Burton and Burnal Ofstun. She is survived by her son, Jeff (Judy) Hansen; and granddaughter, Amalia (Troy) Schneider.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, at Oakland Lutheran Church in Oakland. Burial was at the Oakland Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Oakland Lutheran Church or the Oakland Cemetery Association.
