The Hayfield girls basketball team beat New Richland-HEG (6-12 overall, 4-5 Gopher) 63-58 in Hayfield Saturday.

The Vikings (108 overall, 5-5 Gopher) led by as many as 16, but NREHG pulled to within two points late in the game.

Emma Holst and Elecia Brown each scored 21 points for Hayfield.
