The Hayfield girls basketball team lost to Maple River (10-6 overall, 4-4 Gopher) 60-50 on the road Monday.

Maple River led by as many 18 points in the first half and the Vikings (9-7 overall, 4-4 Gopher) got no closer than six points the rest of the way.
