A concert with Root River Jam and Gamblers Daughter
A concert featuring Root River Jam and Gamblers Daughter will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the Historic Paramount Theatre.
Root River Jam is a Bluegrass Fusion band based in southeast Minnesota. Their original blend of many styles includes folk, rock, blues, Celtic and jazz improv. Singer/songwriter Dave Wilson writes about his experiences living in southeastern Minnesota.
Gambler’s Daughter is the musical persona and band of Jessa Roquet and blends poetic lyricism with a rich heritage in folk music, heartfelt rock and a touch of soulful blues. Youa Vang of “City Pages” said, “Roquet’s self-titled EP is full of cut-and-thrust beauty. . . her alluring, full-throated aesthetic could catch even the most cynical listener off-guard.”
Tickets are $14 in advance and $17 at the door. For more information or tickets, call 507-434-0934 or go to www.austinareaarts.org.
