Audrey Mae Guritz, 90

Audrey Mae Guritz, 90, of Austin, Minnesota, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home.
Audrey was born on May 3, 1928, in Lansing Township, Minnesota, to Emanuel and Lila (Larson) Barclay. She married Max Guritz on June 2, 1946, at the Oakland Midway Lutheran Church in Oakland, Minnesota. In her spare time, she liked playing bingo and watching the Minnesota Twins. Audrey enjoyed watching her family play softball. She loved country music and traveled to Branson, Missouri, and Nashville, Tennessee. She especially loved to spend time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Max; sons-in-law, Don Ruud, Pat McGuire and Terry Olson; grandson, Jim Ruud; granddaughter, Jessica Slowinski; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert “Bob” and Alvina Barclay, Milo “Mike” and Ruby Barclay and Richard “Dick” and Norma Barclay.
Audrey is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Judy McGuire, Austin, Jean and Roger Slowinski, Gretna, Nebraska, and Janet Olson, Albert Lea, Minnesota; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Marlis Guritz, Richfield, Minnesota; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with the Rev. Madison Chelberg officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary and for one hour before the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in Oakland Cemetery.
