Y’s Women’s Club

The Y’s Women’s Club held a Christmas party on Dec. 13 at the Hormel Historic Home.

A pot luck supper was enjoyed by all. Tables were beautifully decorated by Anita Ulwelling. Bingo was played and gifts were exchanged.

Connie Babcock was welcomed as a guest.

Reports were read and approved. The luncheon card party in November was a success. Members contributed to the Hy-Vee Feed-A-Family program.

We will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m., Jan. 10, at Torge’s Live Sports Pub & Grill.

Thirteen teams played on Dec. 12.

We enjoyed  a Christmas lunch before play started.

Players came from Mason City and Northwood, Iowa, Adams, Albert Lea, Austin and Rose Creek.  Both sessions are held at the Mower County Senior Center in Austin.

Tuesday games start at 12:30 p.m. and Wednesday games start at noon. Early start on Wednesday  accomodates players from a distance to get started home before dark in the winter months.

We invite and encourage all Bridge players to play. If anyone needs a partner, call Joyce at 1-507-437-2750. She will set you up with a partner.
