Predatory offender released in Austin; Convicted of sexual crimes against two females

The Austin Police Department issued a notification on Monday that a Level 3 predatory offender has been released into Austin.

Nathan Mark Prusinski, 31, will reside in the 1000 block of Fourth Avenue Northeast. He was previously convicted of holding an adult female against her will, using threats and weapons to gain compliance, and engaging in sexual contact with a 15-year-old female. Prusinski knew both victims.

The case was investigated by the Chaska Police Department.

Under Minnesota law, the APD is authorized to release a notification of an offender’s release if it believes releasing the information will enhance public safety. The notification is not intended to increase fear. Prusinski will be monitored by law enforcement.

The APD reminds residents Prusinski has served his court-mandated sentence and is currently not wanted by law enforcement. The notification is not to be used to threaten, harass or intimidate Prusinski. Individuals found doing so could be subject to criminal charges.
