Marjorie Emma Potter, 97, of Austin, Minnesota, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin.

Marjorie was born Feb. 22, 1921, in Brownsdale, Minnesota, to Forrest and Elsie (Rockwell) Tanner. She graduated from Austin High School in 1938. On July 27, 1940, she married Edwin Potter in Northwood, Iowa. They raised three sons, Edwin, David, and Dennis.

She was a member of the Brownsdale Methodist Church, the Austin Eagles Club, Camera Club and the Red Hat Club. Marjorie loved to embroider, cook, read books, do crossword puzzles, play Bingo, camp, going for walks and play cards, especially Kings in the Corner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin; son, Edwin; two brothers; two sisters; a daughter-in-law; and a granddaughter-in-law.

Marjorie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Susan Potter, Beloit, Wisconsin, Dennis and Janelle Potter, Austin, and Sandy Potter, Everett, Washington; grandchildren, Bruce (Maureen) Schultz, Lewiston, Idaho, Rob Schultz, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Julie Pospisil, Kirkland, Washington, EJ (Amy) Potter, Everett, Lonny Peddycord, Everett, Kassey (Ric) Stober, Marysville, Washington, Duane Potter, Rochelle, Illinois, Neil (Holly) Potter, Winnebago, Illinois, Angela Hansen, Albert Lea, Minnesota, and Sarah Potter, Mankato, Minnesota; great-grandchildren, Matthew Schultz, Michael Schultz, Megan Schultz, Ashley Schultz, Shayla Schultz, Brittney Stober, Lonny Peddycord, Blake Stober, Samantha Potter, Ashley Potter, Lucas Potter, Tiffany Meyer, Matthew Potter, Justin (Nicole) Hansen and Danielle Hansen; great-great-grandchildren, Jordan and Blake; sister, Betty Mae Obert, California; nieces and nephews.

An Eagles service, be conducted by Austin Eagles Auxilary 703, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dennis Tamke officiating. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
