Austin Public Schools is offering a free football and cheerleading camp to all children at Ellis Middle School from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

Minnesota Vikings Legends, Carl Lee, Darrin Nelson, Chuck Foreman, Stu Voigt, Mark Mullaney, and Green Bay Packer great, Blaise Winter will all be on hand.

The Minnesota Viking Cheerleaders and AHS grad Tressie Kinney will be running the cheerleader camp for girls. 

The camp is completely free to all children. Typically, children ages first grade through eighth grade attend. 

Children will have opportunities to win prizes, and the Camper or Cheerleader who demonstrates the greatest character will be awarded a special opportunity to attend a Vikings game in the player suite with Carl Lee (prize subject to restrictions). 

The Camp will feature other fun contests and opportunities to win free prizes, including autographed items from current Vikings like Harrison Smith, Anthony Barr, Everson Griffen, Stephon Diggs, Adam Thielen.

Registration for the camp is at Sterling Main Street from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday. All participants must register.

Immediately following the camp, there will be a pizza party at George’s Pizza in Austin. Autographed items and Vikings jerseys from will be given away. You must be present to win.
