A vehicle reported stolen in Lebanon, Missouri, was recovered in Austin Thursday morning.

According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, the vehicle was recovered at 5:02 a.m. on Thursday at the Apollo III on West Oakland Avenue. An officer on patrol ran the vehicle’s Missouri plates, which came back stolen. The officer then contacted the Lebanon Police Department and arranged to have the vehicle towed.

An Apollo III employee said two black males drove the car into the parking lot at approximately 7 a.m. on Wednesday and told the employee the car had broken down, according to Krueger. They were then picked up by a taxi.
