Hel Ray, 73, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at her home.

She was born Jan. 1, 1945, in Burma, the daughter of U’Shwe Baw and Peh Kyaw. She was part of the Karen people of Burma. Hel Ray immigrated to the United States in 2008 through the refugee program. Her husband, Saw Sein Kyi Bo, passed away in 1982. Hel Ray enjoyed caring for her children and grandchildren and was strong in her faith.

Survivors include her daughter, K’Pru Paw Gold of Austin; her son, Ah Kwa (Ah Nyaung) of Thailand and their children, Mee lay, Soing Chai and Oock; Nan Myint (Pat Kyoung) of Austin and their children, Mo Tha Su, Kit P. Shar, Esther Kyoung, Johnny Kyoung and Moses Kyoung.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Grace Baptist Church in Austin. Visitation is from 11:30 to noon prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
