Elaine Marie Easter, 62 of Spring Valley, Minnesota, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at her home.

Elaine was born Dec. 16, 1955, in Austin, Minnesota, to Edwin and Gladys (Nielsen) Swenson and baptized at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. She graduated from Southland High School in 1974. Elaine married Wayne Easter on Aug. 29, 2003, in Mantorville, Minnesota. She worked at the Adams Health Care Center in Adams, Minnesota, and later at Hayfield Window and Door Company.

She enjoyed sewing, baking, spending time with her dogs, Hailey and Carlie, playing games, especially cards, and fishing. Elaine loved four-wheeling on the ATV and snowmobiling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Gladys Swenson; brothers, Leland Swenson, Daryl Nielsen and Keith Swenson; great-niece, Kiley Jones; and her fur baby, Abby.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Wayne Easter, Spring Valley; siblings, Gary (Pat) Swenson, Rose Creek, Minnesota, Alan (Gwen) Swenson, Adams, Dean (Carmine) Swenson, Riceville, Iowa, Wayne (Peggy) Swenson, Wykoff, Minnesota, Dale (Dawn) Swenson, West Concord, Minnesota, and Kay (Doug Brown) Barnhart, Adams; sister-in-law, Alice Swenson, Rose Creek; 89 nieces and nephews; and fur babies, Carlie and Hailey.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, at Crane Community Chapel with the Rev. Dale Christiansen officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery. Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
