Delaine Kay Luthe, 71, of Austin, Minnesota, died at her home on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018.

Delaine was born Jan. 16, 1947, in Austin to Albert and Mary (Clark) Reynolds. She graduated from Austin High School in 1965. On Oct. 10, 1966, Delaine married Richard “Toofer” Luthe in Austin. They resided in Manly, Iowa, where they raised their family. They moved to Lansing, Minnesota, in 2001. Toofer passed away in 2011, and Delaine later moved into Austin.

Delaine was adored by her grandchildren and dearly loved by her nieces and nephews. She died knowing she was deeply loved and valued by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary Reynolds; and her husband, Richard.

Delaine is survived by her daughter, the Rev. Amelia Houdek and her husband, Chris, New Richmond, Wisconsin; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Jennifer Luthe, Lewisville, Texas; five grandchildren, Tyler, Nicholas and Rebecca Luthe and Xander and Noah Houdek; siblings, Keith (Mary) Reynolds, Palo Cedro, California, Audrey (Paul) Wigham, Kasson, Minnesota, and Lawrence “Butch” Reynolds, Eyota, Minnesota; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Amy Teske officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home with a reception to follow the service. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
