The Riverland Community College men’s basketball team opened its season with a win over Dakota State University (0-5 overall) by a score of 96-76 in Madison, S.D. Wednesday.

Deandre Anderson, a freshman from Milwaukee, led the Blue Devils (1-0 overall) with 16 points.

“We got the first game jitters out of the way and it’s always good to get on the road,” RCC head coach Derek Hahn said.

RCC forced 25 turnovers in the win.
