Best Bets: Rock and rolling with Part Time Ex’s

The Austin Area Commission for the Arts will be hosting “Music at the Bank,” featuring Part Time Ex’s, this Saturday at the Austin ArtWorks Center.

Led by Austin natives and Austin High School alumni Jon Stowell (vocals/guitar) and Nick Tobar (guitar), Part Time Ex’s is a St. Paul based rock and roll band. The group has been performing in the Twin Cities metro area and has gained a reputation for high energy and fun blues-rock.

Other members of the band are bassist Ben Greenwald and drummer John Hicks.

They will be returning on Saturday for their third live performance in Austin. The show will feature two musical sets with the debut of a new music video at the beginning on the second set.

The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Austin ArtWorks Center. Admission is $5 at the door. A cash beer and wine bar will be available during the show.

• Austin Masonic Lodge All You Can Eat Pancake Feed, 9 a.m. to noon at the Austin Masonic Lodge. Enjoy a delicious all-you-can-eat pancake feed complete with bacon, sausage, juice, milk and coffee, while helping raise funds for local organizations. Proceeds for November benefit the Austin High School Girls Swimming and Diving Teams.

• Annual Fall Craft Bazaar and Home Business Expo, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. A large selection of crafts and home businesses. The church quilters will be selling their homemade quilts and there will be refreshments available. Come join us for your holiday shopping.
