Mower County Youths compete in 4-H Shooting Sports and Wildlife Invitational

Multiple Mower County youths had a successful outing at the Minnesota 4-H Shooting Sports and Wildlife Invitational in Martin County Sept. 7-9.

Riley Hetzel was state champion in intermediate BB gun, Jenna Hetzel was fourth place in junior BB gun, Reuben Drees was first place in junior wildlife calling, Lydia Drees was second place in junior wildlife calling, Isaac Drees was fourth place in intermediate wildlife calling, Aidan Jenkins was fourth place in junior wildlife calling, Cayden Goslee was ninth place in junior wildlife calling, Mason Silbaugh was second place in Senior Class B archery and fourth place in senior trap, Ryan Irvin was ninth place in .22 rifle intermediate field grade, Wiatte Pudenz was fourth place in black powder intermediate and third place in intermediate rifle and Melody Grossman was 10th place in senior trap.

The junior BB gun team of Cayden Goslee, Meryn Silbaugh, Aiden Jenkins and Jenna Hetzel took first place, the senior black powder team of Morgan Beckmann, Melody Grossman, Wiatte Pudenz and Megan Silbaugh took fifth place, the intermediate trap team of Andrew Sayles, Wiatte Pudenz, Piper Kellner, Isaac Drees and Megan Silbaugh took sixth, the intermediate Class C archery team of Ryan Irvin, Wiatte Pudenz, Andrew Sayles and Megan Silbaugh took seventh and the senior archer Class C team of Morgan Beckmann, Piper Kellner, Joe Mentel and Mason Silbaugh took sixth.
