Hayfield grad Carrie Rutledge, who is a freshman volleyball player at Rochester Community and Technical College was recently named NJCAA Division III National Player of the Week.

Rutledge hit .520 with 4.67 kills per set last week for the No. 4 ranked Yellowjackets (17-8 overall, 9-0 MCAC South). Rutledge currently leads RCTC in kills (352), attempts (903) and she is third on the team in digs (194).

Rutledge is ranked fifth in the nation in kills and eight in the nation in kills per set.
