Frank J. “Johnny” Goertz, 78, of Austin, Minnesota, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.
Johnny was born Jan. 12, 1940, two minutes apart from his identical twin brother, Franklin, to John and Margaret (Brown) Goertz in Mountain Lake, Minnesota.

He served in the United States Army and also the National Guard.
Johnny enjoyed watching sports, especially football and the WWF. He loved being around family and would do anything for anybody even if it meant going without for himself.
Johnny was a painter with Greg Turner Painting.
Survivors include his son, Trent Goertz, Blooming Prairie, Minnesota; his daughter, Teresa Gentry, Mankato, Minnesota; his son, Richard Hall, Arizona; grandchildren, Bryan Goertz, Rochester, Rebecca Gentry, Mankato, and Jeremiah Gentry, Mankato; great-granddaughter, Nova Fisher, Mankato; and his twin brother, Franklin Goertz, Rochester.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Goertz; his sister, Ann Prokes; and his brother, David Goertz.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, at Grandview Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 91 and VFW Post 1216.
