Beverly B. Houston, 81, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at her home.

Beverly Barbara Babcock was born May 20, 1937, in West Concord, Minnesota, to Birdge and Juliu (Rafferty) Babcock. She was raised with her siblings Ole, Bud, George, David, Lola, Irene, Eunice, Mary, Jean, and Elaine. Bev attended school in West Concord, graduating with the class of 1954, then attended beauty school. She made her living as a hairdresser for many years. On Nov. 25, 1956, she was united in marriage to Billie F. Houston at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. The couple raised four children. Billie passed away in December 2011. Bev treasured the time spent with her grandkids and her dog was very special to her. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and many friends.

Survivors include her sons, Brian (Deanna) Houston of Onamia, Minnesota, Thomas Houston of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, and Todd (Theresa) Houston of Ellsworth, Wisconsin; daughter, Susanne (James) Crabtree of Blooming Prairie; grandchildren, Christine, Mathew, Katherine, Amy, Amber, Heather, Alexander, Tyler and Noah; many great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Billie.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin with Pastor Madison Chelberg officiating. Visitation will for one hour before the

service on Thursday at the church. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
