Virginia D. Dehn, 91, of Waterville, Minnesota, died on Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, at Traditions in Waterville.

Born on Nov. 19, 1926, in Austin, Minnesota, she was the daughter of John and Rose (Gute) Peterson. Jinny graduated from Austin High School and married Cecil Huber on Sept. 23, 1946. They moved to Waterville, where they worked at Leuthold’s Clothing Store. Jinny continued to work there until its closing. Cecil passed away in 1959, and Jinny married Roger Dehn on April 21, 1963. She loved to spend time with her family and took great pride in her lakeside home. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, was an exceptional baker, and loved animals. She also enjoyed traveling and trips to the casino. Jinny was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville and the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by one daughter, Pam Huber of Faribault, Minnesota; two grandchildren, Michael (Shelly) Flaten of Hibbing, Minnesota, and Kathy (Kyle) Atherton of Waterville; and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and four siblings, John Peterson, Mildred Perl, Marcella Carlson and Evelyn Kennedy.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville. Visitation will be held on one hour before the service on Saturday at the church. A private burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Austin at a later date. Dennis Funeral and Cremation Services of Waterville is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to your local animal shelter or the Humane Society.
