A tornado watch remains in effect for Mower County until 10 p.m. tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

Also included in the watch area are the following counties: Dodge, Faribault, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Olmsted Rice, Steele, Wabasha, Waseca and Winona.

A watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes to develop.

On top of this watch, a flash flood warning has been issued until 9:15 p.m. tonight as well as a flash flood watch that extends through Wednesday morning for portions of Iowa, southeast Minnesota and Wisconsin. As the storms continue to march through the area, 2 to 6 inches of rain are still possible resulting in localized flooding.
