The Austin girls soccer team showed some improvements as it lost to Rochester Mayo (2-3 overall, 2-1 Big Nine) by a score of 2-1 on the road Tuesday.

The Packers (0-4 overall, 0-4 Big Nine) pulled to within 2-1 early in the second half when Hope Dudycha connected on a 20-yard direct kick.

“It was a beautiful shot. [Hope] was able to curve it around the wall and get it inside the post,” Austin head coach Jake Levisen said. “The girls worked well with passing and we’re gaining ground every game. I’m very impressed with how the team is coming together and pushing each other to their best.”
