Make the choice to help the environment

Published 7:00 am Saturday, September 8, 2018

Austin Area Arts is proud to offer a new option to our supporters, SOLARCHOICE from Austin Utilities. This option will be particularly attractive to those who value sustainable living.

By participating in SOLARCHOICE, donors allow Austin Area Arts to purchase subscriptions in a community solar garden. These subscriptions provide Austin Utilities and their partners with capital to build community solar now and also generate savings on Austin Area Arts utility bills for the next 6-12 years.

Subscriptions are only available for a limited time. To participate, contribute by Oct. 1, 2018.

What is SOLARCHOICE?

•Another avenue of giving to support the arts in our community.

•An investment in sustainability and green energy.

•An immediate, on-going savings for Austin Area Arts utility costs.

Why make a SOLARCHOICE donation?

•It’s good for art because it reduces the cost of operations now and for up to 12 years.

•It’s good for the earth because it provides capital to build solar energy gardens in Minnesota.

•It’s tax deductible. As a donation to a 501c3 non profit organization, your contribution is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Consult your tax professional.

How do you make a SOLARCHOICE donation?

Call Austin Area Arts at 507-434-0934 to reserve your panel(s) subscription. A limited amount of panel subscriptions are available to Austin Area Arts based on our current energy use.

Contribute (check, cash or credit/debit card) by Oct. 1. For each six-year panel subscription, contribute $340. For each 12-year panel subscription, contribute $660.

What happens next?

You get a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.

Austin Area Arts uses your donated funds to purchase SOLARCHOICE subscriptions with Austin Utilities.

Austin Area Arts immediately receives credits on utility bills and continues to receive credits for the life of the subscriptions (6 or 12 years).
