Carol Y. Landberg, 86, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at The Cedars of Austin.

Carol Yvonne Tilleson was born Dec. 19, 1931, in Elk Mound, Wisconsin, the daughter of Carl M. and Hilda (Braaten) Tilleson. She attended high school in Boyceville, Wisconsin, and then worked as a ward clerk at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin from 1964 until 1995. On Feb. 16, 1951, Carol married Richard Landberg at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Carol and Richard made their home in Austin, where they raised their four children. Family was a priority for the Landbergs. They enjoyed camping and fishing trips and Carol also liked to dance and play cards. Traveling in their RV was another special pastime for them. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Landberg of Austin; her children, Ronald E. (Diane) Landberg of Willmar, Minnesota, Steven R. (Sandy) Landberg of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, Judith (Jamey) Weichert of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and Sara (Alan) Blumenshein of Austin; 12 grandchildren, Andrew (Lisa) Weichert, Emily (Nathan) Diers, Cassie (David) Liss, Nicholas (Janey) Landberg, Cari (Eric) Landberg-Bulthuis, Timothy Landberg, Stephanie (Robert) Hardwick, Alison Landberg, Michael Landberg, Lindsay Blumenshein, Kayla Blumenshein, Hannah Blumenshein; and 13 great-grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; four brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Pastor Ron Barnett officiating. Visitation will take place from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, immediately preceding the service. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery in Austin at a later date.
