Senior center working with Weight Watchers

Just in case anyone was wondering what the WWW Coffee Shop was we want to tell you.

Weight Watchers has been meeting in our building for some time now and we have a great relationship. Because they are here we decided we could be doing more. That is when we started our Weight Watchers Wednesdays in the Coffee Shop.

We are very excited to be offering this menu two times a month in the coffee shop with points and calories for those that don’t track points. We have been working with Weight Watchers to make sure we are calculating the points correctly.

This Wednesday is one of those days. We always have Weight Watchers’ soup, which is zero points and chicken salad over a bed of lettuce. We also provide a second soup and the usual sandwiches and cake and add an angel food cake for a healthier option.

All items are listed on the menu with points and calories for you to track. If you don’t usually concern yourself with a calorie count it may surprise you how well you can eat for not many calories. We look forward to you coming and joining us.

You may not be old now, but if you’re lucky, one day you will be. We look forward to seeing you at our many programs at the Senior Center. Don’t forget our coffee shop where every day you can have homemade soup for $1 and sandwich for 50 cents. Tuesday, Aug. 28 we are having tator tot hotdish in the coffee shop for only $2. You are always welcome at the center. See you here.
