The Austin ArtWorks Festival is still in need of a few volunteers to help with this weekend’s event.

Organizers are looking for individuals willing to fill in as greeters, data collectors and attendants for various events.

While a few spots are available Friday and Saturday, many of the empty slots are on Sunday.

“It’s always more of a challenge to get the volunteers on Sunday,” said Bonnie Rietz, co-chair of the Austin ArtWorks Festival.

Volunteers are needed for an hour or two anytime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday to assist the arriving artists with carrying items and setting up, she said.

“If anyone has some time, just come over and be welcoming and help carry things for the artists,” she added.

Volunteers can sign up in person from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at the Austin ArtWorks Center or online at https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/1330505/false#/invitation.

“It’s a fun atmosphere, whether you’re listening to the music or an author or seeing some of the wonderful artwork,” Rietz said. “It’s a fun time to volunteer for the community.”
