APD hosting Austin’s Night Out

The Austin Police Department will host Austin’s Night Out, part of National Night Out, from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Bandshell Community Park.
This family fun event will provide citizens with the opportunity to meet their local first responders. Police, fire and ambulance vehicles will be on display for kids to tour.
Free hot dogs, chips and beverages will be available throughout the event.
The mission of Austin’s Night Out is “to strengthen police-community partnerships and send a message to criminals that citizens in Austin are united and fighting back against crime.”
This year’s Night Out is sponsored by Hormel Foods, Hy-Vee and Featherlite Graphics.
