Jeffrey R. Peterson, 57, of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, passed away surrounded by on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at United Hospital, St. Paul, Minnesota, surrounded by his three daughters.

Jeffrey Richard was born June 6, 1961, in Austin, Minnesota, to Richard and Louise (Chapek) Peterson. He was baptized and confirmed at Red Oak Grove Lutheran Church. He grew up in Blooming Prairie and attended school at Blooming Prairie High School. On Jan. 26, 1980, Jeff married Sandra Hedberg at Red Oak Grove Lutheran Church; their marriage was blessed with three daughters. The couple later divorced. He later raised hogs, farming with his dad and uncle, Hiram, on the family farm, then went on to do construction for many years. Jeff filled his free time hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and riding around in his Firebird. Above all else, he loved to spend time with his family and friends and will be missed dearly by all of them.

Jeff is survived by his mother, Louise Peterson of Blooming Prairie; three daughters, Angie (Matthew) Cisneros, Amber (Stephen) Brandt and Samantha (Ray Garza) Peterson, all of Blooming Prairie; granddaughters, Rylie Cisneros and Aubrie Brandt, both of Blooming Prairie; grandsons, Brayten Cisneros and Aaron Brandt, both of Blooming Prairie; sisters, Laurie (Terry) Peterson-Jeddeloh and their daughter, Katie Jeddeloh, of Centennial, Colorado, Denise (Scott Rees) Peterson of Prior Lake, Minnesota, and Kimberly Peterson of Austin; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Peterson; brother, Gary Peterson; sister, Pamela Peterson; grandparents; and his aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018, at the Red Oak Grove Lutheran Church in rural Austin with Pastor Lindsay Brennan officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at the Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home in Blooming Prairie and will continue  for one hour on Friday prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Red Oak Grove Lutheran Cemetery in rural Austin. Worlein Funeral Home in Blooming Prairie is assisting the family with arrangements.
