The Austin track and field team will have one start qualifier after the Packers didn’t advance any more athletes to state on the second day of the Section 1AA meet in Lakeville Friday.

Aiden Wilson will be Austin’s lone state qualifier in the pole vault and he will compete in the Minnesota Class AA State Track and Field Meet in Hamline University at 9 a.m. Friday.

Meti Omod took fifth in the 800-meter run for the Austin boys on Friday and Muye Ojulu took eighth in the 400-meter dash for the Austin girls.
