BP’s Ressler opens strong at state golf meet

A pair of area golfers opened play at the Minnesota Class A State Golf Meet in Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker Tuesday.

Blooming Prairie senior Jake Ressler finished the first round with a total score of 85. Ressler is tied for 34th overall. He shot a 44 on the front nine and a 41 on the back nine.

Hayfield eighth grader Keegan Bronson is tied for 65th with a score of 94. He shot a 50 on the front nine and a 44 on the back nine.

Khrystjan Peterson of Faribault Bethlehem Academy is currently leading the field with a score of 68.

The second and final round of the state meet will be held Wednesday in Pebble Creek.
