The search for the new Woodson Kindergarten Center principal is over.

Jill Rollie was selected to serve as the new principal starting July 1, according to Superintendent David Krenz. The interview teams met with seven candidates for the position, who all were current Austin Public Schools District staff.

Rollie will be taking over for Jessica Cabeen, who will be serving as Ellis Middle School principal starting July 1. She currently serves as a continuous improvement specialist at IJ Holton Intermediate School and previously taught language arts at Ellis Middle School for several years. Rollie earned her bachelor’s degree in communication arts from Winona State University. Rollie also received her certificate in educational administration to become a K-12 principal from Saint Mary’s University.

“I’m excited to join the Woodson team,” Rollie said. “It is an amazing school with outstanding staff and I’m humbled and grateful for this opportunity.”
