Paul George Ellis, 81, of Austin, Minnesota, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Feb. 27, 2018.

Paul was born Jan. 17, 1937, in Austin to John and Laura (Akkerman) Ellis. He attended school in Austin and graduated in 1955. Paul married Bonnie Hynie on Jan. 18, 1959, at the First United Methodist Church in Austin.

He was very proud of all the buildings he moved, the over 500 sheds he had built all over town, and all the trees he had cut down. He had an engineering mind and was able to assess how to get something out, cut down, and even moved. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Paul was very industrious and loved by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie (Hynie) Ellis; his parents, Laura (Akkerman) and George Ellis; and brothers, Duane, Delmer, Norbert and Russel Ellis.

Those who still journey here are his daughters, Jennifer Lomack, Dawn (Mike) Moder and Kimberly (Brett) Seehusen; grandchildren, Leslie, Jackie, Eddie and Gwen Lomack, and Autumn, Dawson, and Everitt Moder; great-granddaughter, Maddison Lomack; siblings, Betty Walrath and Rodney (Norma) Ellis, Raymond (Kathy) Ellis, Carol Brecht and Mark Ellis; sisters-in-law, Judy Ellis and Mary Tocholke; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, at First United Methodist Church in Austin with the Revs. Brett Seehusen and Dennis Tamke officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be designated to the family in care of Kim Seehusen. Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
