Anthony Bynum, 52, of Austin pleaded guilty to felony third-degree sales of a narcotic and felony fifth-degree possession of a schedule 1, 2, 3 or 4 drug as part of a plea agreement on Friday in Mower County District Court.
A police informant met with Bynum on April 9 and purchased 0.93 grams of heroin from him at a residence in the 1000 block of Second Avenue Southwest. Police provided the informant with buy money and an audio recorder for the transaction.

Police then executed a search warrant later that day at the residence. Inside, officers found 3.39 grams of heroin, 3.33 grams of cocaine, and $350 cash, $100 of which matched the serial numbers of the bills used by the informant to purchase the heroin.
A detective later spoke to Bynum, who indicated he had been selling heroin.
A review of Bynum’s criminal history shows prior convictions for drug possession, drug sales, disorderly conduct, assault and financial transaction card fraud.
Bynum will be sentenced on Aug. 17.
