Police are investigating a shooting that hospitalized a 28-year-old man Monday night.

According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, officers responded to a call at 11:06 p.m. to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin regarding a man who had been shot in the abdomen. The victim had already been intubated by the time police arrived and could not give any information. His condition was listed as “stable” and he was transported to the Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus-Rochester emergency room.

Hospital staff said the victim was dropped off by a silver four-door vehicle and walked into the hospital under his own power, according to Krueger.
