The Hayfield baseball team beat Kasson-Mantorville (4-2 overall) 7-4 on the road Friday.

Zach Nelson picked up the win for the Vikings (2-4 overall) and Brady Nelson picked up the save. Hayfield overcame seven errors in the game as eighth grader Easton Fritcher went three-for-four with a double and a triple.

“It’s a big win for our young kids. They were excited,” Hayfield head coach Kasey Krekling said.

Hayfield will play seven games in a span of six games next week.
