Beverly married Wilbert John Spieker on Aug. 9, 1957, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. After their marriage, they lived in Austin, Minnesota, and had two children, Craig and Debra. They both retired and moved to Castle Rock, Colorado in 1997, where their children lived, and they enjoyed watching their granddaughters grow to be beautiful young ladies and have children of their own.

Beverly worked for the Austin Public School District as a secretary for over 30 years. She loved camping, doll making, sewing, cooking and vacationing with her family and many, many dear friends. Beverly loved being a wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Beverly was a person of God and always had an open heart and kind words for everyone. She always found the good in everyone she met. She was a nurturing soul and took care of everyone in their time of need, including taking care of her husband for many, many years as he struggled with Parkinson’s. After her husband passed away, Beverly struggled with her own illnesses and was a dialysis patient for over six years. She never complained about her dialysis, she just said it was something she had to do if she wanted to enjoy life.

Beverly is survived by her son, Craig (Caralee) Spieker, Castle Rock; daughter, Debra Spieker, Castle Rock; granddaughters, Ashley (Josh) Jessup, Calhan, Colorado, and Alyssa (Victor) Silva, Kiowa, Colorado; great-grandchildren, Jameson, Sophia and Wyatt; brother, Donald (Elaine) Baird; sister, Maxine Meyer; brothers and sisters-in-law; Sylvia Baddgor, Sena (Harlan) Berkness, Viola (Duane) Weerts, John (Elaine) Spieker and Margaret Spieker; many nieces and nephews; and special family friends, Pat Purvis, Tia McGuire and Stacy Reuter.

Beverly was proceeded in death by her husband of 52 years, Wilbert; parents; and brothers and sisters-in-laws; Kenneth Meyer, John and Francis Moret, Norman Baddgor, Raymond Spieker, George Spieker and Patsy Galema.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Austin with Pastor Michael Olmsted officiating.
