The Austin boys tennis team saw its season come to an end at the Section 1AA individual subsection meet in Rochester Thursday.

The No. 4 seeded doubles team of Josh Brehmer and Jens Ourada beat a Lakeville north team 7-5, 6-4 and they lost to Rochester Century’s Varun Iyer and Matt Christianson of Rochester Century 6-1, 6-1.

Luke Goodew was the No. 7 seeded and he lost both of his matches for the Packers, Eli First was the No. 9 seed and he lost his only match and the No. 11 seeded doubles team of Logan Braaten and Bryar Flanders lost their lone match.

“This senior group has had more success as a team than any in recent memory,” Austin head coach Jeff Anderson said. “They will be missed as leaders and as men.  This was a really special group of guys.”
