A reward is now being offered for information leading to the capture of a Blooming Prairie woman wanted in the murders of two people, according to a news release issued by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday.

A $5,000 reward is now being offered for Lois Riess, 56, of Blooming Prairie, who is wanted for murder of both her husband David Riess as well as a Florida woman, Pamela Hutchinson, of Bradenton, Florida.

The reward is for information leading to the arrest of Riess. Florida Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward of up to $1,000.

The Riess case has been updated to a major case by the U.S. Marshals Service, according to the release.

Riess is believed to be driving Hutchinson’s white Acura TL with a Florida license plate of Y37TAA. She is considered armed and dangerous. Anybody who has had recent contact with Riess or who has any information on her whereabouts is urged to contact the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Tip-line at 1-8770996-6222. Callers will remain anonymous.

According to the release, the Dodge County Sheriff’s office and the Dodge County Attorney are preparing second degree murder charges against Riess in the murder of her husband, whose body was discovered on March 23 on land at Prairie Wax Worm Forms just outside of Blooming Prairie.

Then, earlier this month it was revealed that the search had turned to Florida where Riess was wanted in the death of Hutchinson who authorities believe Riess may have killed in order to steal her identity. Authorities said Hutchinson also died of multiple gunshot wounds and that the murder weapon was the same weapon that was used to kill David Riess.

Since then authorities have indicated they have tips that place Hutchinson’s car in both Louisiana and Texas.
