Bruins are set to host game one of NAHL Central Division Finals

The Austin Bruins will take on a Minot Minotaurs team that is fresh off an upset win when it hosts game one of the NAHL Central Division Finals at 7:05 p.m. Friday.

Fourth seeded Minot beat top-seed Minot in a 3-0 game five upset Monday night to advance, giving the Bruins home-ice advantage in their quest for their first Central Cup since 2015.

Games one and two between Austin and Minot will be held Friday and Saturday night at Riverside Arena, with both games starting at 7:05 p.m.

The Bruins went 5-2-1 against the Minotauros during the regular season, winning all four games at Riverside Arena. Minot won the final two meetings of the season. The Bruins and Minot have an illustrious postseason history, including four consecutive meetings in the playoffs between the 2012-13 and 2015-16 seasons. The Bruins were victorious in all four. Most recently, the Bruins defeated Minot in four games of the semifinals in 2015-16, before falling to Bismarck in the Championship.
