Travis Kothenbeutel scored at 18:29 of the third period, breaking a 1-1 tie and giving Austin the win.

Janesville led 1-0 coming out of the first period when Dante Sheriff knotted the score at 9:29 of the second period.

Alex Schilling stopped 24 of the 25 shots he faced in net.
