The Blooming Prairie baseball team opened its season with a 6-3 win over Faribault Bethlehem Academy in BP Monday.

Jack Abbe picked up the win on the mound for BP (1-0 overall) and Brad Staska had a double and an RBI.

“It was good to get out. The kids were ecstatic to be outside and playing,” BP head coach Matt Kittelson said. “Defensive and pitching-wise, I thought we did really well.”
