Barbara Ann (Brinkman) Williams, 62, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, died on April 3, 2018.

Barb was baptized on July 31, 1955, and confirmed in May 1970 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Greene, Iowa. She graduated from Greene High School in 1973. Following graduation, she attended North Iowa Area Community College and received her degree in nursing on May 23, 1975. Upon graduation, she began her nursing career at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, Iowa, where she worked for 33 years. In 2009, she began work at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton, Iowa, in total providing nearly 43 years of service to the nursing field. The number of lives she touched in her nursing career will never be forgotten.

Barb was married to her husband, Keith, on Jan. 28, 1978. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this year. She was an integral piece of the farming operation that she established with her husband for many years. Their son, Kyle Christopher was born on April 6, 1982. Their daughter, Kelsy Jo, was born on July 12, 1988.

She volunteered for several years as a 4-H leader. In recent years, Barb enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, traveling to various car shows with her husband and playing with her granddaughter, Raegan.

Barb is survived by her husband, Keith Williams of St. Ansgar; son, Kyle (Bryn) Williams of Hartley, Texas, expecting a son, Brock Alton C. Williams, in August; daughter, Kelsey Jo (Steve) Coon of Long Grove, Iowa, parents to Barb’s granddaughter, Raegan Laura Coon; her parents, Clarence and Violet Brinkman of Greene, Iowa; two sisters; four brothers; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville, Iowa, with the Rev. Lance Kittleson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona, Iowa. Visitation is scheduled for 3-7 p.m. on Sunday at Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, and one hour prior to service at the church.
