Vermilion knocks off Riverland

The Riverland Community College men’s basketball team had its season end when it lost to Vermlion (21-8 overall) 95-94 in the Regional quarterfinals in Anoka Friday.
Robert Parker had 32 points in his last game as a Blue Devil. RCC finished with a record of 19-9 overall.
RCC led by 18 with 12 minutes left in the game.
“It’s frustrating to see it end this way, this group achieved a lot of things that not many Riverland teams achieved in the past,” RCC head coach Derek Hahn said. “They won 41 games and made the state tournament two years in a row.”
