SUV broken into, ransacked

Police are looking for an individual or individuals who broke into an SUV on Wednesday or Thursday.

According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, officers responded to a call at 4 p.m. on Thursday in the 1800 block of Fourth Avenue Northwest. Someone had used an unknown object to smash the rear window of an SUV that was parked in a driveway. Various items in the car had been strewn about, indicating it had been ransacked.

The owner told police it happened between 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday and 6 a.m. on Thursday.

It is unknown if anything was taken. There are no suspects at this time.
