No injuries reported in Brownsdale trailer fire

No injuries were reported after a trailer fire on Thursday night in Brownsdale.

According to Mower County Chief Deputy Mark May, deputies responded to a fire at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday at 104 Vista Village in Brownsdale. The deputies saw smoke inside the trailer and flames coming from the roof. The Brownsdale Fire Department was already on the scene.

Christopher Aker, 27, who rents the trailer, said he smelled something burning. He and his wife, Kaytlynn, 22, Jason Bryant, 25, and an infant child got out of the trailer.

The fire appeared to have started near the furnace. No prior issues with the furnace had been reported, according to May.

Brent Naylor of Waltham owns the trailer. The damage estimate is unknown at this time. It is also unknown if the trailer was insured.
