Hayfield boys knocked off by Spring Grove

The No. 15 seeded Hayfield boys basketball team had its season end to No. 2 Spring Grove (22-5 overall) in a 69-29 loss in a Section 1A tournament game on the road Thursday.
The Lions hit six three-pointers in the first half to create a big margin.
“They’re really good and we knew we had to shoot the lights out to beat them,” Hayfield head coach Chris Pack said. “We did the opposite.”
Patrick Towey had 12 points for Hayfield (5-23 overall).
