ELCA event April 7 in Albert Lea

The Blue Earth River Conference Women of the ELCA Spring Event will be held on Saturday, April 7, at Salem Lutheran Church, 115 N. Washington Ave., Albert Lea.

The event is co-hosted by Central Freeborn Lutheran Church women.

Registration, coffee and fellowship begins at 8 a.m., with the program from 9-11:30 a.m. No noon lunch will be served.

Theme for the event is “All Anew: Growing Faith

Parking is available at two city lots and the Salem church lot. There is an elevator at the main entrance.

Registration is $7 and checks should be made to SE MN WELCA. Keynote speaker will be Tim O’Shields, who serves as minister of music, worship and the arts at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea.

Updates from Good Earth Village, Lutheran Disaster Response, and Lutheran Social Services “The Reach” program will be presented. There will be more displays and exhibits to visit during the registration and coffee hour, and after the event.

Offerings will be designated to Women of the ELCA, Lutheran Social Services and Lutheran United States Disaster Response.

Those attending are urged to bring a love offering of a hand, face or bath towel for The Reach program, a program for youth ages 17-25.
